I want to create a Finance based website.Can anyone give me advice about what all things it would be needed to create.

Basically I'm new to javascript and other server side technologies. So any type of suggestions will be welcomed.

Please use PHP as server side.
HTML,CSS,JavaScript as client side.
MySql as DataBase

My question is which other technology can replace PHP. I mean can't I use some kind of API within my website??

For startup it is good to use PHP.
For Finance based website yes there are list API avaible to use.
