Beginner advice

I just TODAY decided to learn to code and have started looking into Computer Science as a potential major to study in college. Does anyone have any advice to share regarding how to know if Comp Sci is something I’ll be good at, any tips for coding, or any advice in general for someone starting to look down this path?? Really just anything you wish to share will be greatly appreciated:)

Coding is just problem solving in it's purest form but unlike in maths we programmers get to test our creations as we go. The human-computer relationship is a very productive one because whereas a human will say "I'm fine" and then you have to spend an hour figuring out why they're not fine, a compiler will tell you exactly what's up, so you go fix the problem and move on to greater things. (just kidding) Maybe try playing the game factorio and if after 4 hours you find yourself thinking "what did I want to do again?" then Comp Sci can't be a wrong choice.
