Basic, seriously ? Martin Taylor i'm working with basic on a daily basis, thus this langage isnt used in almost any industry now. That was a bad advise bro. Take a modern language and learn it. For example C or C++ But it wont be easy and it wont be fast. If you want to learn something easy and fast learn to play minecraft 👌

I am still a noob ...but I think and also my pro friends think python is great for newbies ...it's a high level language with very easy to use syntaxes(c and c++ syntaxes and tough for newbies)...so hope this help you a tiny amount😁

I would start with either Python or Ruby. If you are going to be a programmer, you will most definitely know more than one in the future, so it doesn't really matter what you start with as long as it's understandable to you so you can start your journey.

Martin Taylor well you should tell the New coder to use those one instead of letting him "go for basic" Plus i would t go for that kind of language but with a good old c or c++. Please tell me only one thing really fast that isnt C or C++ (or ASM)?

Martin Taylor HI Martin, Yes you are right about the old version of basic, however it is almost not used anymore except for really old system (like bank, embedded for aeronautics etc.) and the syntaxe can be confusing for someone new to programming But Yes, Basic (old) is a good language. I would choose C over it Just because it is a modern language used in large field. For the new versions of basic and the .Net or C# my opinion is that those language are too high from the hardware to let you know what is going on under your software.
