Local Apache for php on windows

Question

I was looking for a good php editor and a Programm as a local Apache for windows. I tried Xampp but something went wrong. And Server2Go seemed to be history because everytime I am open it, it will close down the browser immediately. Any idea what other Programm I could use?

Well if you want a local server that is similar to a real hosting panel (with Softaculous for autoinstaller) and different php versions etc. And many other features, I suggest you use Ampps,
