web dev or programming?

hi guys, I was learning java about some months and now that I'm in uk all asking me to learn web dev which are html and js...what do you think about that?

It's totally based on your passion..programming is about creating applications,games and other stuff....
Well,web programming is also booming now to create various web pages and web based games....
Its best to learn both....😂😂
