Web development is done in html, javascript, sql, and css (few more things but I forgot) and are all needed to run websites.
C is an assembly language.
And C# was developed by microsoft and is said to be a competitor to c++.
C++ really is all that great, it is just hard to learn. The people that say it's outdated is often because of the rise of C#, usually people that say it is someone that barely knows C# and hasn't used c++ at all or dont know either and just spout that shit out to sound smart. C# and c++ are really good and are here to stay until binary computer are just GONE.
P.s I don't know that much about C# and I have it in high regards from what I've learned in its libraries but the only place I could find to use it was some ms software and unity and unity sucks.
P.s.P.s you can make literally anything with c++ including android games because the android is based on the c langauge. ANYTHING, except web development. The catch is that it's hard. So if you learn c++, you're set.
