'RGB' composes colour from the three basic colours Red Green and Blue. The 'A' in RGBA stands for alpha channel, which defines the opacity of the colour. This allows ease to define both colour composition and transparency at once. https://www.w3schools.com/csSref/func_rgba.asp

RGBA this is from named of color Red, Green, Blue + alpha channel (opacity, transparency). Why it necessary I dont know. you can use a standard hexadecimal color value, or a name (color name). in addition the chroma system still uses the HSL and HSLA values respectively
