Family tree

Hey Everyone,
So I created a Website and my Goal is that People create their own Family tree on the Website (It’s a Project) but the problem is I don’t know how to start
- i created a Login
- i have a structure
...
But I don’t know how to built the family tree graph I need the site working with the information in my database and put the person in the right space
Like
Mother—Vather

Me
My Question, is there someone who have any idea which direction I need to look to built the tree graph
I saw D3.js is helpful but no example was working with the database
