Actually JavaScript use for web development.html+CSS+ JavaScript use for to create web sites.if you want to go into web development then learn JavaScript.remember JavaScript is client side scripting. Python is mainly use in AI,machine learning, data science to create application.if you really want to go in these fields then learn python but python is also use for web development it has many great frameworks like Django, flask etc but this is use in server side whereas JavaScript is client side.

They are actually both really good. But they have different purposes. JS is more for front-end and Python is actually pretty versatile, but is more of back-end afaik. So just decide what you want to do and choose.

If you are new to programming the learn and try to master basics of websites development which JavaScript is a major tool in. Python is more powerful but in the hand of someone who has some basic understanding of some other program.

Well, if I looked at Tundzhay Mollov comment, I suggest you to start learning program languages using Visual Basic .NET or other previous versions (including good old Visual Basic For DOS, even Quick BASIC or GW BASIC) because BASIC is basic and easy learning programming language.

This is a tricky one, but I would prefer Python, personally.

Starting with python than JavaScript is better idea because it's easy to learn the logic of programming by python... Basically JavaScript is used to create the Dynamics webpages.. But ,By the recent survey by business insider in top programming languages JavaScript is first and the python stand second LINK FOR THE SURVEY https://www.businessinsider.in/slideshows/miscellaneous/the-10-most-popular-programming-languages-according-to-the-microsoft-owned-github/slidelist/71985591.cms

JS, of course. But Python would be more popular than JS, I suppose.

Once you have decided on your goal then you will be in a better position to choose your language, so what is it that you want to achieve ?
