In a static website, the content is 'hardcoded' in the html and does not change. Whatever you build on the sololearn web playground, can usually be considered static.
In contrast, a dynamic website is constructed on the fly when it is retrieved, by the back-end (could be php, node.js or any other programming language) and usually involving a database.
Most websites these days are dynamic.
