You can create a special and wonderful game if you are a professional coderπŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‰

You can better empathise with the poor developers and not expect too much 😁

You understand game features better.

You can be inspired by the game to make your own.

Well when ignoring game hacks, I think programming could give you understanding for example if the game laggs, you would have more knowledge about why it laggs.

You know you can make the game and do it as you want plus you can be game developer.

You won't be a d*** when you look at someone's very simple game because you'll understand their pain.

You can hack a game server and make a mod version, how about that?

you can materialise your ideas with code.

You can make mods(for sims for example).I think that for sims 4 its done in python and for earlier versions in c something, I'm not sure which c but it's probably c++

You can also get living with programming, so you could buy new games and better gaming devices if you learned programming. I have some feel that gaming would anyways have more advantages in programming (but also disadvantages), as I've read an article which told that surgeons, that had gaming background, did their job 30% faster (in average) than surgeons, that didn't have gaming background and thus I think gaming would also have some good effects in programming, (even though gaming might often be treated as bad thing).
