Is a core i3, 4gb Chromebook suitable for entry level coding?

Only asking as I've recently purchased a Dell Chromebook 7486 and I've decided to start coding after I purchased it. I've set up Linux apps and got Anaconda Navigator and Sublime text on there and so far, everything has been going well. Early days yet, but starting with python and I'll see where I go from there. I'm also considering a coding camp if I decide to get serious. I'm hoping to one day code an app or two, but probably a long way from there yet. I can see from my googling that android studio should run fine, although I'll need to use my phone to debug with my current laptop specs. So do you guys think I'll be okay with my current Dell, i3, 4gb laptop for the time being or would you upgrade now while there is still value in the laptop? I would probably look at a windows laptop if anything, but I've been struggling to find a decent one for under £500. My current chromebook also has some great features. If I do upgrade, does anyone have any suggestions for windows laptops under £500? At a push 600

Thanks for that, I shall ensure i search first now I know I can! Would be grateful for any suggestions on windows laptops in my budget however! Can't see many recent posts. Would love the Dell Xps but that's far too pricey!
