isn't there data mining on Java? Why it is only in Python?

Initially i was developer on java, but later i found there is no thing we can learn like AI, big data, Algorithms are can be done only in python. Is it true or must i start learning python?

Scientists feel that they are not programmers and are not willing to spend time learning complicated languages. Python is easy to use and sufficient for these topics, though not too fast, it is a new progressive language so has a very active community.

Many proposed data mining models are written in Java. The SPMF library is in Java. Java is fast/efficient and can be pretty well optimized for handling large files. A lot of research outside of theoretical data mining uses Python for simplicity; and possibly since AI has a lot of focus in research where python remains dominant. Encase anyone stumbles on this question in the future, here is a data mining resource: https://www.sololearn.com/post/1727349/?ref=app
