Getting an entry level job in coding field?

I’m in my 30s, still learning the basics of coding and don’t have a CS degree. Are there jobs where you can see codes often to learn as you work? I can’t find jobs that train someone as new to the field as me so even just one where I could be around codes daily I think would be a great way to learn. Does that kind of job exist? Anything where you can kind of learn and get paid?

There are plenty of companies willing to higher people with very little coding experience; however, without any proof you are at least proficient in and enthusiastic about the field, they are unlikely to pick you over college students working towards a CS degree. If you have any projects under your belt - put them on your resume and hope for the best during an interview. You should be able to prove that you are at least proficient in certain programming languages. You can start searching for jobs on websites like Glassdoor, Handshake, LinkedIn, CareerOneStop, or Indeed.
