I think the learning method here is pretty good.
I advise you to first make many challenges, in them come many questions that do not come specifically in the course, that way you will learn a lot from your mistakes. Believe me, you will be set many concepts that way.
And after that or in parallel, propose yourself difficult mini-projects like games or others that make you think and use what you have learned.

That's what I do, that's what worked for me and that's what I advise you.
