And start immediately to write little programs of your own, whatever it is, using what you learn.
Practice writing code is the most important factor.

The tutorials here are very good but the one on Java is actually a bit short and does not fully explain a lot of the stuff you need to learn Java properly. That doesn't mean you shouldn't do the tutorial. It just means that you might want to complement it with books or other courses on Java.
