About SoloLearn Programming Languages Challenges

Hey everyone. I am into SoloLearn for the past couple of weeks and I have been pretty intrigued by the programming languages quizzes (challenges). I am an engineer but currently I am pursuing a new career in Information Technology so I have been studying on my own several subjects around IT for the last 2 years and recently I enrolled into a university in my country. What I would like to know is if they have any true impact on my abilities in problem solving and if they actually help to learn a programming language any better. What has been your experience with them, do you find them useful? Thanks in advance!

Best way to learn things is do them practically. If you want to learn programming you need to write codes for all concepts tgat you read, learn. The quizzes are very short and can't test your skills to the fullest . Take an example of C++ quizzes. I expect questions related to object oriented programming in quizzes what I get is loops , if-else some algebra, boolean laws. Quizzes can be helpful in some case. Take example(C++). You are in quiz they ask you can you create object of abstract class? And you give wrong answer! Then what you are supposed to do is research on the same topic! They will ask you about something that you haven't learned on sl , then find and learn that also. Better will be if you try some quizzes yourself and come find your own opinion. I repeat all programming concepts can't be covered in challenges , so anyone who want to learn properly must also write codes and do so some projects Similar thread: https://www.sololearn.com/discuss/549257/?ref=app

They are useful up to a point but not after you can just remember the answers IMHO.
