How can C++ help a business student in their career ?

Will there be more opportunities or is it something irrelevant to a business student to learn because they won’t be dealing with coding ?

If you work as a business employee at a technology company, it helps to know the lingo and you may get a bit more respect from the techies.
As for C++, there would be financial software written in it although Java is more common.

Hi Alessandro,
first question from my side is: Why do you think that C++ should help you in your career? Generally no coding is useless or irrelevant, but if you study something with business administration maybe c++ will be useless. Depends on your personal career way.
But as I can say that C++ is a good opportunity for understanding how the object programming is working. But if you e.g. want to work within the WebDevelopment (even as business student), surely C++ doesn´t make really sense. In this case Javascript would be the more suitable programming language for you.
In case that you want to learn how Mobile App Programming is working, this also depends on which devices you want to create it (Android, iOS..) then there are suitable programming languages e.g. Kotlin, Java, Swift...
As you can see firstly you should ask yourself why you want to learn it. Just for understanding how a programming language works it could be useful learning a objected orientied programming language. But then I would switch to e.g. Java since Java is also at the top of the ranking of programming languages 2019...

As a college student studying finance and today’s world becoming more connected with technology. I feel like it would be helpful to know a programming language. now which one i don’t know.
I know that in the banking industry is leaning more on the use of technology to become more Efficient. what if you are working for a company that deals with software/techology, can it benefical to know a programming language or just leave it to the programmers?
I just feel like it would be advantageous to know a programming langangue and also to move with the wave of technology influences in industires.

It will not benefit you. You will be assign a Finance,Accounts or something like this role in your job and if you have learned C++ in your college days you have to apply for C++ job to use your C++ skills and if you got a job of Finance or accounts something like this then you won't be practising C++ projects so if you stopped practising C++ for a long time you will not keep up yourself in the tech industry and end up forgetting everything you learned in the C++ in your college days. Just Pick one only and then try to become very good in this one thing.
