John Doe which post you are in concern with. Personal off-topic posts are always marked for deletion by moderation team as soon as they came across.

A lot of people here in reality mostly aim for xp, badges, popularity etc.
Quite a few posters try to stay within the rules by the skin of the teeth, but ask their question in a maximally emotional, suggestive, whiny way with a hint of trolling, so that they'll have maximal impact.
I would like to see more of these posts shot down by moderation.

I think its SAFER for this site/app to curtail all personal aspects of posts/questions. But its a double-edged sword; What if someone made a comment while posting alluding to a situation that required intervention (abuse, etc) and someone else here was able to say something/do something? That would be incredible. However, is the slight chance of something useful like that happening worth the monumental onslaught of Trolling and sheer stupidity? I’m not sure. I think its better not to ignore the fact that People are posting, and many of them are young and new to this.

Each case should be dealt with on an individual basis by mods, which I am sure they already do most of the time.

But then its a question for the people who run this site. Is this a platform just for answering coding questions, or is it/can it/should it be a place for programmers in general, including things outside. There are a lot of places for both, though, already.

Mr. Nerd, technically, you're right.
If we assume that this post is a genuine attempt to help STOPPING this sort of nonsense, I'm personally okay with it. ;-)
