Javascript is more complex than Python. Python uses simple functions and variables, without the need of classes. Python is better suited for AI, ML, Data Analytics, Deep Learning, Nueral Networks, etc. Javascript is not. Nodes v8 engine makes it faster. Python is also rapidly growing as is the need for FullStack developers.
However, if a developer only knows js, I feel they will have to work harder to over take a Python Data Scientist
