Which or what kind of Android project would give me the experience to land my first job as Android developer?

I m learning Java. Yesterday I wrote a code that plays a sound when it's running. I wrote a MIDI events to achieve that. Currently on exception handling chapter (try/catch)
I m looking for a job as an Android developer.
