I need an opinion about doing an app

I'm thinking about making an app, people will have to create an account to use the app, and it'll need to insert photos and discussions just like here. But I don't know what language should I study to have a good app with a good design. I know that Java is a good option, but I don't know it that much and I know that Python is a lot easier (even though I don't know Python too.) What do you guys recommend?

Between Java an Python, Java is better for your app.
