I would't say that any type of development is any 'better' than the other. Every type of development that uses modern programming language is constantly being further developed and improved. You can try out different things, and see which one you like the best. There are however, certain aspects of programming that are pretty popular today, like AI, VR and AR, since it's a relatively new field of technology.

It depends on what's your goals are! If you want to create websites, html, css, and javascript are good choices. If you want to create automated programs, python might be a good choice. If you want to create desktop applications, Java, C# and C++ are good choices. It doesn't really matter what you start off with, as long as you keep learning and having fun :)

Well, since you are a beginner, I would recommend that you start off with either Python, or web development (html, css, javascript, php, sql). The reason is that these type of developments are easy to get into. You could of course start with Java or C#, but it might become a bit overwhelming for a new learner. You can also, of course, change your course of programming. Almost every programming language (except for a few wierd ones who are mainly developed for fun or entertainment) uses the same kind of logical problem-solving, and has a lot of similarities. If you start to learn one language, learning the next one will become much easier! If you want to start with learning python, you could check out my python codes on my profile. I have done some beginner exercises in python, and commented how and why things are done. Not only for myself to understand, but to also help others who want to do tasks beyond the basics of the sololearn course. Feel free to check them out and try for yourself. Good luck!
