Do i need to learn both c language and c++

I am currently learning c language do i need to learn c++ i heard that one of them is enough is it right or both are mandatory

You can go direct to c++ but if you have alot of time and not in a rush, you can start with c because it is the core.
c++ is an increment of c.
Learning c++ means you are furthering c. There are alot of things in c++ that are not in c. If you like, you can take it step by step.
