https://goo.gl/search/+c+and+c%2B%2B+are+important C++ Language: Features, Uses, Applications & Advantages ... C++ plays a key role in such servers. Closer to hardware: C++ is closer to hardware than most other programming languages like Python, etc. This makes it useful in those areas where the software is closely coupled with hardware and a low-level support is required at the software level.

C is the father of lot of languages so it will be beneficial if you learn it to know other languages properly and after that you can learn them easily because some concepts are similar

You can go direct to c++ but if you have alot of time and not in a rush, you can start with c because it is the core. c++ is an increment of c. Learning c++ means you are furthering c. There are alot of things in c++ that are not in c. If you like, you can take it step by step.

Do you want to develop operational systems like Linux Kernel, to program microcontrollers, to write your own drivers for devices, to make fast and efficient low level software development? Then learn C. Do you want to create games? C++

C++ is based on C language thats the core point to learn but c++ has more futures like Class, object etc than C as ++ indicate the increment

C++ is actually the improved version of C. So, I would recommend learning C++ instead of C.
