SoloLearn displays it to me at challenges. Is it a new thing or a bug? Why should I accept challenge if I can only loose with it?

No, it was a bug in first days. I spoke to SoloLearn team and they said they fixed it so minimum XP is 1 now.

I have noticed this odd behavior too, just for the last hours. Hopefully it is only a matter of a bug, otherwise I would find it hard to understand the reason and the meaning.

It's because your opponent's are that
much lower in level than you, that you will simply receive no XP for winning. ):
