SQL mainly consist of DDL (Data Definition Language) and DML (Data Manipulation Language). DDL defines data (Create, Alter) and DML manipulates data (Select, Insert, Update, Delete).
Lookup the net for DDL as that is part of SQL that is in charge for data definition, I'm sure you can find a good tutorial, as I see it, there are loads of such out there.
