Finish mastering Java and then learn Kotlin afterward. Java isn't going to disappear for a very long time, if ever. Kotlin is based on Java and is able to be written alongside Java code, it's interchangeable, but learning Java is very useful and will make learning Kotlin easier as well. As well, if you're planning on getting a job in the field, most companies will still be using Java for a long time, so you're fine to finish Java.

Hold on, let me grab my crystal ball. *closes eyes and meditates* mmmmmm ahhh ummmmmm ahhh ummmmm.... I'm not sure, but now I know what I'm going to make for dinner tonight. :) Unfortunately, it seems I'm not able to see the future at all, but I did try. I can say this much though. Java is very popular and compared to other languages, Java is on nearly EVERYTHING from your PC to your phones, so it isn't going anywhere anytime soon. If you're wondering if you should learn Java, the answer is yes. While you're at it, I would learn Kotlin also because it is Java-based and if anything would replace Java, it'll be Kotlin. Hope that helps!

Well hard to say. As languages like kotlin are rising, I'd say that good old Java may slow down a bit, but I don't think it's gonna disappear anytime soon

Well they are quite similar, but I'm not a kotlin expert at all. So I can't really tell Though, learning a language really well allows you to grasp most of the concept of programming shared among the other languages, and so you'll learn other ones quite easily !
