Can I host a WordPress website on GitHub with a custom domain ? & Otherwise which hosting company is better for WordPress,?

I think you can't. AFAIK GitHub hosts only static webpages with HTML, CSS and JS for a custom Domain.

At the moment I'm not aware of any good web hosting company. But I can tell you: If they want more than 180 bucks a year for hosting, they are trying to rip you off.
