I’ve got a couple of Sololearn certificates and a few certificates from other online courses. This is my opinion. They are ok at introducing languages to the learner, good at getting the learner “into the mood” somewhat. They are small, short and sweet. At the end of the course, you know the very, very basics of the language, but nothing on implementing the language in a real-world situation and nothing on actual programming.

I come from a developing country and we don't have that much coders and developers. Often costly to get into a school to learn. No free wifi, Data coasts too high. When I was introduced to solo learn by a good friend. I just didn't want to stop. I could download the whole course. I learned and understood html. With the help of YouTube I got the hang of it. I've set up 2 websites so far. I also got employed because I had a HTML certificate from sololearn. I'm so Thankful for this app!
