What is the lowest android version that Sololearn still works on

Hey, I'm going to Nepal again this summer to teach and I wanna try and buy a few cheap ipods or phones to install some educational apps on for the class. I definitely wanna install sololearn on there, so I was wondering how old the phones can be, that I buy.

According to Google Play and App Store, the minimum requirements are Android 4.0.3 and iOS 10.0.
