Beware: this head text is very misleading!
The head contains all meta information about the page and the supporting tools (ie. CSS, JS, etc...) used to customize its visual and behavior, which CAN contain elements that may appear visually to the user.
Saying "non visual elements" is a misconception on what can go in and an awful choice of words, in general.
