Upvotes on comments malfunctioning

Question

When I am giving someone a likestorm, I’ve noticed that when I upvote some of their comments, it marks the comment as upvotes by me but subtracts several likes from their comment.
For example, if they have 21 upvotes on their comment, and then I upvote it, the total upvotes changes to 13.
Other times I can give an upvote and it will increase the upvote count by 5 or 6.
??!!!!!!!

Android user here :) I've just tested it on ⚜️JTLZ⚜️[#Never Give Up!] 😁 and it seems to be working normally, just one like was added, nothing unusual happened

⚜️JTLZ⚜️[#Never Give Up!] please, don't 😅 I don't like getting storms much (I appreciate people being nice and thanks to everyone doing that ❤️ but it's unnecessary). I'm too having "no connection" thing atm 😕 Wanted to test again if Candy's problem will occur on you posts 😃🙂🙂

SoloLearn Team is working on that. I've sent several emails to them. And, they have also replied to me each one. Finally, I'm writing a new email about two new issues that have practically kept me inactive in the last days!!!

I've never noticed such thing happening to me (I'm not sure though as I usually pay little attention to the like count), but sounds like a pretty annoying one. Does the amount of likes get back to normal if you refresh the page? It might be just a visual bug

I’m curious to see if this is an iOS bug or SL issue.

Janning⭐ - it is so inconsistent it is hard to capture. It happens a lot but not every comment and not every time.
I have a feeling that it is not literally adding or subtracting multiple votes.
It may have to remain a mystery.

Candyopoly I ran into this the other day. I would do several likes and they would not stay liked. I thought it was a bad internet connection as I have been struggling with our service here. Let me know how I can help. I have an android.

1Lory☕ - no it doesn’t but when i refresh th page sometimes several of my upvotes have disappeared. And we start the process again. 😅

Jay that is very frustrating.
Sommetimes i will comment on something 3 or 4 times and give up.
Then later I will refind the code and there will be two comments on it but usually none at all!! 😂😂😂

Sydney Chako - yes, that has happened to me several times.
Very puzzling and frustrating.
You never know if your likes are going to “stick” or not.
I have found that when I have that issue - it typically lasts the entire day. 😥
