PHP alternative(s)?

Question

Is it still advised to use PHP?
If not PHP, what else can I use? Mainly concerned with parsing JSON and DB CRUD.

There are python web server hosts like Django and Flask which allow you to use python to format front and back end of your web server

Nodejs uses JavaScript codes as server script, best in implementing json and rest api.

I use perl for most of that type of thing. Prefer it over php, mostly because it’s the first one I learned.
