Is Code Contest replaced by Live Challenge?

There’s now Live challenge now, what happen to the Code Contest. Is it replaced? And there’s another question about Live Challenge: It’s said that most 3 upvoted code will be the winner. But many of us have supporters. What about the one who are beginners? They don’t have supporters who give them likes so that doesn’t that their code aren’t good. We need to support them (well that’s what I think) Please leave you thoughts here:

I can't prove it of course, but I'm pretty sure SL is planning more code contests. It's like anything, you have to switch it up a bit and keep it interesting. If there was only code contests, then newbies wouldn't get the chance to try as much like in the live challenges. So I guess my point is, by bringing live challenges in, SL is not necessarily doing away with contests, it's just that it doesn't have a contest scheduled for right now. Cheers.

I guess the code contest is still there? BTW if it doesn't then it will be a reason for leaving sololearn for me. I personally doesn't like the challenge themes as they are all for web(css) developers. Most of the others will have no chance. And most of the codes are just good arts with no functions. I have heard that our sololearner has informed SL to choose the winners according to the quality not likes. And SL have taken a decision to choose an editors choice other than the most liked codes. But still I don't like those challenge topics. #Code contests ROCK

Seniru Pasan yeah m8, I see your point... I'm sure more contests are cooking up as we speak. And I'm sure SL will also have more focused on back end stuff in the future too. ✌️😊

Anthony Quick I agree with you for some points. Beginners need challenges like this to have a start. And also SL should organise challenges like this. But this is more than enough. SL should pay attention on both front end and back end developers. But what it actually does is supporting front end devs more. Also beginners need to try out some challenging things to make a brighter future. Challenges in sololearn before helped me to become a pro.
