SoloLearn is a great place to start learning about coding as an introduction for complete beginners or advanced developers in refreshing their set of skills in a fun, entertaining way and practical as you can do it anytime, anywhere using your smartphone. Let say while in the queque in a bank, commuting, etc. you can make use of your spare time to code, instead of playing around social media.

Firstofall, decide what goal do you wish to set:
☑️ becoming a software engineer by working for startup or large corporation?
☑️ just a hobby to build web app or mobile app?
⚠️ From that point, you can identify which programming languages - frameworks and libraries you need to focus on to study.
➡️ Then, pick relevant online courses in Udemy, Udacity, freeCodeCamp or TreeHouse to back up your goal.

1⃣ While taking the online courses, don't forget to build projects as well - choose program or curriculum that provides this.
2⃣ Join code challenges in other places like CodeWars, CodeKata, CodeFight, HackerRank, etc.
3⃣ Contribute in Open Source Projects, check GitHub and StackOverflow.
4⃣ Participate in developer communities in Discord or Slack.

Do not worry. Every man is not a PRO when s/he starts. Practice is the key for all.
You can practice coding here using the code playground and if there were any problems dont hesitate to ask here in the QnA.
Sololearn aslo provide some valuable set of coding challenges which can help you to understand your level and learn from your faults.
I recommend these challenges for a starter.
