moderation selection process has been changed recently and now potential moderators are being selected by Gold/Platinum moderators to pass the probation period and unlock the badge afterwards.

A regular user can whisper suggestions in the ear of a gold/platinum moderator. Maybe that moderator will be inspired to do some research. We usually discuss nominees as a team before extending offers to join a trial, so impressing only one moderator might not get a suggested user into the final list of nominees.

If you run my code it also explains how mods are selected https://code.sololearn.com/WIHav38M8I4F/?ref=app Qualified SoloLearners will be contacted by a Platinum Moderator with an invitation to be part of a Moderation Team. You may also be contacted directly by our staff.

The SoloLearn outhority will send you email if they find you suitable for the moderation Team!!

As a previous moderator, those other people who get chosen to be moderator are usually recommended by current moderators.

I think they won't propose you until they find you as a suitable, expert and active one!!
