There's a huge difference between being an introvert and being antisocial. I believe you meant the former.
Either way, I do not believe there is any correlation between programming and your social preferences, at least not directly. While programming can surely change the way you interpret things, programmers are merely individuals with programming skills.

Yes. Then you should give up coding. I became a coder because I was antisocial. Too much free time in my hands, low self esteem and a lack of friends. I would rather have a social life. Feels like I wasted my youth.

I don't think it's makes you antisocial but yeah at certain point you may consider yourself antisocial since coding is like a drug once you start loving it you won't leave it alone even for a while.. 😅

Maybe it reveals to you who you really were all along? If you're a social coder, you might gravitate towards being active in the Q&A... even challenging others is social in a way.

Yep, for me it was different, I was introvert and I decided (Or should I say, d e c o d e d [What a bad pun]) To do some coding, I have experienced very bad social situations, I guess its ok to have some friends, but too much social life and your entire life will be consumed in nothing.

Coding can make you look at things better than the others and before you know it you may be way ahead of your peers in thinking. This can have a positive effect and make you famous if your peers appreciate it. Just watch out that you don't overdo it to be labeled 'nerd'.

I would say I'm an introvert, but not shy or reticent. I just prefer my own company (or the company of just one person at a time) most of the time.
