How do you get inspiration for projects?

I love coding but I find it very hard to come up with ideas for projects. Any suggestions on how to get inspiration/projects?

Main inspiration: I look at other people and determine what PROBLEMS they have, small or large. Then I sit and think about how those problems could be solved or be done more efficiently. Then I use that as my inspiration to create something that solves the problem of another. When I'm not working for other people, such as in the example above, I just do it. I know that's a crappy answer, but I don't know where my creativity comes from. It simply appears in that dark place inside of my head and then I proceed forward based upon the random "data from the darkness." So am I just being fed my creativity by some unseen force or do I create it myself? I have no clue. However, there are some things one could do to gain inspiration from things outside of themselves. For example, if I wanted to create an RPG, but can't seem to think of what to create, then I could ponder upon all of the RPGs I've ever played, what I liked about them, what I hated about them, etc... and then create inspiration based upon the influences of my life. For example, I'm a huge fan of Morrowind, so if I created an RPG, I may be inspired by that game and create something that's in alignment with that style of gameplay. If you're looking to simply get a list of ideas so that you can practice by doing them, then I'd open up Google and type in "<your language> project ideas" and you'll get a lot of ideas you can use for practice.
