I don't think that it'll help u in getting a job... it's a certificate of completion of a tutorial of that language only...it just means that u know the basics of that language... & this proof is not reliable also...so that won't make u eligible for any technical job in programming... U should complete an academic course in a language of ur choice... that will be better in getting a job... :-)

Just like Thomas Edison said: "Tomorrow is my exam but I don't care because a single sheet of paper can't decide my future."

Not only this certificate, but any certificate doesn't garuntee a position for you... Trying to become as knowledgable as you can, certainly will ease your way towards a nice position... And that generally, certificates may help you in putting together a nice resume' which is the first step when applying for a position

Awhile back in a CSCI course I was asked "Would you have any interest in an IT internship?" So I made my resume, and also asked my instructor "If their was enough credibility to reference my certifications on Sololearn." Later on He said "Well I looked into it and Sololearn was great I'm thinking about implementing the application into our C++ Course, I would definitely mention your certificates." Anyway I nailed the interview, and got the position. True story, hope that helps you out. It can really go to show when "shown", how much one is passionate in their work. and Thank you Doug!

Your abilities will get you there rather your character will keep you there. More so completing the Fundamentals of different languages is just a stepping stone. You need to learn further and advance your horizons.

Sololearn Certificate might not succeed in getting you a job, but it has DEFINITELY SUCCEEDED in building the foundation upon which you can build your programming career. A person doesn't complete building a house by building the foundation only. As such, getting the certificate should be a stepping stone to a great programming skills in language(s) of your choice.

The certificate(s) could be of help, but usually the employers look for experience such as: ▪your own projects or others that you have taken part in ▪willing to learn new stuff and technologies ▪soft skills ▪decision making skills ▪work under pressure ▪team work ▪seniority ▪and other

Best thing to do if you want a good impression is to make a portfolio of your personal projects or projects you've worked on with others, not only does this show that you are capable of the work it also implies that you are self motivated and enjoy the work you are applying for.

a certificate can help you to get a job interview but it will work against you if you cannot validate your knowledge .. They might test your ability by asking you to solve a simple problem using Pseudo Code. Be sure to show your competance with ease. so yes it can help you get a job if it truly reflects your ability. But the only way that you can build confidence in your ability is to build a portfolio of code that demonstrates EDIT: your skills.. unless you're a genius.

Yes, it may. Especially when it's a part of the minimum requirements. But sometimes when you are willing to do what you are not qualify to do is what qualifies you.....

Guys this certificate can be presented during interviews as an addon. It is just a proof that we know the basics of the particular language.Frankly speaking i asked the same question to one of my teachers in the college, she said that u can definitely present it while appearing fr interviews and also in the resume:)

I think certificate is like a ticket for something, like a job for example, it doesn't guarantee you one (a job) but it can guarantee you to enter the door for some preliminary step like administration screening or a test..
