Why don’t you have to put another inserting operator before the \n shortcut?

mn121 he's mentioning some sort of "inserting operator" so i'm not sure what he means by that and i need that clarified by saying which language it is. if it's c++ and he means the bitwise right shift when writing to cout, that would just mean that "\n" can just be part of a string
