I like using the following concept when dealing with multiple dimensions. A spreadsheet displays two dimensions for it's columns and rows. Using the page tabs at the bottom you add a third dimension. Add the fourth by running multiple programs. Add the fifth by adding a local network of computers. Add the sixth by adding network server with multiple of those local networks connected to it. Add the seventh by connecting multiple servers.
Using them becomes easy as you loop through the dimensions mapping them to a physical concept that makes sense.
