Python is now in demand, well paid, plus it's interesting. If we talk about web development, it is much easier and more interesting to do this in Python.

Well, as for the prospects, this is a vague question. If you want to know what's happening under the hood, it's still not even C# you need to learn, but C and C++. Well, one does not contradict one another. You can do web development in Python while learning C from the source code of the kernel or nginx.

depends on your goals:
C#:
desktop applications, softwares, games etc.
python:
A.I, machine learning web development.
