Future of Python

Question

I recently found out that Guido will be stepping down from his post as "Benevolent Dictator" of Python org.
I was just thinking about what would happen if there wasn't such a strong unifying and focusing force guiding it and keeping it On Track and OFF the rails.
I'm hoping that the steering committee is highly focused. it is such a great language, and it needs a strong backbone to keep it vibrant and growing, but in a focused and controlled manner. I would hate for it to go the way of so many other computer languages.

Python has a good future in this world where AI and ML studies are taking leaps in their growth day by day.
