Android Studio is a great tool, but some other great options are: Visual Studio: Visual Studio mainly focuses on C#, but the great thing about it is that you can make apps for many platforms with it like ios and Mac's. PhoneGap: This application lets you build android and ios apps using your web design knowledge (HTML, CSS, and Javascript). Unity: This application uses C#, Javascript (and one more language that I forgot), to create 2d or 3d games. Xcode: This app technically does not make android applications, but it is great for ios and MacOS applications (You need a mac to use Xcode).

If you want to use just another IDE, but want to create it in mostly the same way, Eclipse for android developers would be the right tool for you. If you search for a tool to create cross-platform apps you could for example use Visual Studio or Xamarin, but if you think about creating it without any IDE i would advise you not to try it , because the development tools are strongly designed for use with an IDE

Use AIDE app[Cracked Version]. It gives you a great IDE for coding android apps with Java and XML. For me, I also have coded all my apps through this amazing app. You can try out my apps from the links given in the below code: https://code.sololearn.com/WBWEEB4xJcE8/?ref=app
