Hi Mikey Blue, Generally speaking, creative commons is more of a copyright template to keep the lines clean between the rights of those who are creating/publishing the creative work and those who are distributing/using/building upon the creative work. The rough equivalent of that on the software side are open source licenses. Although works are copyrighted upon publication, registering the copyrights and trademarks (etc.) provide some additional benefits and still isn't a "sealed deal" per se as the attorneys would still have to duke it out over their respective burdens of proof in court. For additional information, I recommend you consult an attorney who specializes in intellectual property law. I'm not sure how the department of motor vehicles relates to business security or taxes, so I'm afraid I can't offer much insight there. I'm not sure if any regulatory agency would be interested in requiring a company to use a file system over a database. It seems like an implementation detail and not material.

my point does not really have an explanation. im interested in abstract thoughts because to me i feel like creative commons attributtion or known as CCA or any third related party affiliate has to be gone through for the deal to be sealed even if you create a secure work field for your backup an ultimate network. what im saying is it sounds no different than dmv.gov, an then after putting in all the work up front. an ultimately creating a secure environment for buisness or envornmental purpose or for whatever any one person intends. why would one want another party interupting that. in laymens terms what im saying is most people get there taxes done by an accountant. some do it themselves. regardless it has to get done because thats the way it goes. but as far as metadata an information goes the database is more preferable then a file system for security of your users. why would i want anyone interfering with that. To end that also in laymens terms by anyone i mean ā€œany swinging dick. ā€œ

I don't understand. Would you mind providing some context with regards to your concerns about registrations (like with whom?) and legality?

The regulatory bodies a service provider submits to depend on the jurisdiction, type of service(s) being provided and whether or not you are being compensated for providing those services. If you are providing a free service, then you will most likely be subject to less regulation than if you charged for those services because there would then be an exchange of "consideration" between you and the user. However, even free services are subject to some regulation. For example, distributing child pornography is a big no no in almost every jurisdiction. It also looks like you want to be on the other side of the fence as a consumer of free services. Although I'll refrain from jumping into a highly political discussion, net neutrality can certainly be a hot topic. Have you tried Brave browser and DuckDuckGo search engine?

what should a database have to do with licensing, attornys, an relating that to a copyright issue if let say tm you or i created one, and it was a friendly ethical up an running system that helped provide a service to the world. like i said i want to know. im not talking about people stealing or hacking llcā€™s or nike trademark logoā€™s. its more of a free speech/ knowledge route. and why does it conflict. like where does it stop. when will you an i have to pay just to log onto a browser for example.
