What I can do with Pascal

First I am brazillian so,sorry if my english isn't 100% correct.
I am in university of enginner,and my professor want use Pascal to teach introduction of programation.
Nowadays,Pascal is used for anything?

It's old just use the languages you're familiar with. After all, what matters is learning introduction to programming, you can start with python
