I really hate math. But do I really need to learn it if I’m going to code games?

Stop telling yourself that you hate it, and instead consider it a challenge to overcome.
You don't need to know super hard maths, but you definitely need to work with numbers a little bit.

Hi Ryan Sullivan (Suvan),
How did you come to dislike math?
I didn't like math for awhile, but ended up really enjoying it once I had something to apply it to that provided resounding satisfaction.
I can't really think of any area of game programming that doesn't require math. On the other hand, if you're artistic, the animation side seems to have the least math.
