Any better alternative of socket for live streaming (network programming)??

For network programming Is there any alternative of socket for convenience and do we use wifi direct instead of socket connection? ( To establish android to android or tab live streaming connection)

other alternative? i think not. socket is great.

socket is one of connector between two process. its called IPC( Inter Processing Communication). socket can use wifi, or any connection with IP.

its totally worth you learn socket. learn it!!!
