Do you need a good computer to make an adventure game?

I’m just wondering because I have a Mac and on top of that it’s pretty old. I want to make games but I think I don’t have the right materials.

Assuming the specifications to *run* the final product are kindof related, you could
1. choose a game of the appropriate age* and review its requirements
2. Find a game that would run on your hardware and research how it was built (many have wikipedia articles)
