SFML is very good for 2D game development. There are a lot of bindings, you can use SFML with --> C/C++, Python, Ruby, .Net languages, Java, Nim, Julia, Crystal, D, Rust, Go and Haskell. It's crossplatform library, so you can create games for Wibdows, Linux, Android, iOS & MacOS.
